Elke soon realised some patients were affected by fears, phobias or other emotional traumas. She found Thought Field Therapy to be the missing link and now helps many people with their emotional issues, making them feel better almost instantly. From there she went on to train in Sports Massage and Dorn Method (a gentle way of re-aligning the spine or joints) and now treats people with back pain, joint pain, whiplash, scoliosis and other postural issues in her clinic.

My husband and I had the great pleasure of staying over night at Heritage Manor in February. We both were very impressed by the warm welcome we received by the staff. The sumptuous decor and atmosphere of the Manor is that of a large mansion surrounded by lovely gardens and lawns. The communal rooms on the ground floor are very grand and inviting. We were impressed by the library and grand staircase but when we reached our bedroom, it was even more impressive with extravagant swagged curtains, very comfortable seating and of course, a beautifully appointed en suite room with a magnificent view of the gardens. All the furniture and decorations have been harmoniously chosen and are more luxurious than some 4 star hotels we have stayed at. In the morning we were served a delicious full English breakfast, once again, by very welcoming staff in a large room with an airy high ceiling. The price is very reasonable in view of the fact that we think Heritage Manor should have a 4-star rating. We were sorry we could only stay one night and look forward to being able to come back again soon for a longer stay!

We would heartily recommend Nowton Court for a short or long term stays for respite or recuperation. We both feel that without the understanding of the staff it would not have been possible to have had such a stress free stay during this difficult period.

One of the most stressful events in life is moving house and even more so for retired people. We found the stress more intense than we had anticipated and decided to stay at Nowton Court during the two months between the sale of our home and purchase of an apartment in the adjacent building called The Grange. This resulted in our having a pleasant and relaxed period before the move.
The Manor stands in its own grounds and has access to Nowton Park with its 200 acres of woodland, lovely walks and many interesting trees including Wellingtonia. There are muntjaks and a large variety of wild-life. A springtime attraction is the daffodil avenue which is an extraordinary sight with its magnificent display of flowers.
Access to the Manor is by ramp or steps. The front view is impressive with its interesting turrets and chimneys and views of the Park. On entering the Manor, one is struck by the high ceilings, beautiful cornices, ornate curtains, tiled fireplaces and the peaceful atmosphere. The library has a wide selection of books to suit all tastes. There are two spacious lounges, one of which is provided with a television connected to the Sky network. The dining room is airy and overlooks one of the gardens. The menus are interesting, tasteful, vary during the weeks and are provided for residents and guests.
Our accommodation was a spacious room on the first floor with high ceilings, lovely curtains, twin beds and an en-suite shower room. It was provided with a comfortable sofa, telephone and television and it was possible to set up the computer. There is a telephone number to ring for assistance should it be required at any time of day.
We did enjoy the time spent there in the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The staff are an excellent team, cheerful, courteous and tended to all our requirements including attention during the night should it be required. Mail and ordered newspapers were delivered. Furthermore, transport was always provided.

On Arrival at the Heritage Wellbeing Centre I had a warm welcome by the receptionist. While waiting for my treatment I found the atmosphere very “friendly and relaxing”. “Jess my therapist was very punctual and polite and gave me one of the best facials I have ever had!” I didn’t have time for lunch today, but when I had a pamper package last time I found the food was lovely. Overall I have to say it was certainly the best facial in East Anglia.

When I visited the Heritage Wellbeing Centre I was dealt with in a very professional manner by both the reception staff and the therapist who carried out my treatment. On arrival I was made to feel very welcome and whilst waiting for my treatment the atmosphere was very friendly. I thought my treatments were amazing and the therapist I felt really took the time out to understand what I wanted to gain from the treatment. Overall I had a fantastic experience at the centre and would definitely go back!

Elke has helped me with an ongoing shoulder problem. As an older tennis player, I thought I would have to hang up the tennis racket for good. Elke's skilled and relieving technique combined with self care education and exercises has brought me complete relief. I continued to play a little throughout the treatments and I am now playing and enjoying the summer season to the full.

I just had my follow up treatment with the sports massage therapist Elke Hausler, who works from at the Heritage Wellbeing Centre when clients want to see her in Bury. She used a new treatment called DORN. Her strapline of 'Say goodbye to Backpain' is totally justified! Elke explains the method in detail and uses a dummy skeleton to show the problem area. The treament had immediate effect and she has given me simple 'homework' to do to keep things in check. Great!
