We booked my 84 year old mother into Nowton Court Village mid-February for convalescence following a broken pelvis just before Christmas. Due to the kindness and attention given to her during her stay she went home two weeks later a new woman walking without a frame and with a regained confidence. In fact her stay was so successful we are just completing on the purchase of one of the luxury retirement apartments, The Grange, located in the beautiful grounds. She cannot wait to start this new chapter of her life having independent living but with the benefit of the Manor House facilities being just a step away from Rosemary and her fantastic caring team for which nothing is too much trouble. I would not hesitate in recommending.

My mother has been living in the Nowton Court retirement village for the past 4 years. She has an apartment in the independent living section known as The Grange, but is able to use all the facilities of the manor house. This includes a dining room where she can order a good lunch, a Wellbeing centre, and access to all the activities that are organised each week such as Tai Chi, art therapy, games afternoons and so on.
The manor house is decorated beautifully, with lovely lounges for relaxation and a well stocked library. The grounds are well maintained, and being right on the edge of Nowton Park it’s easy to get out into the country.
I feel very happy that my mother has found such a lovely place to live, with caring people who are available 24 hours a day. I have found the management to be very understanding and responsive to her needs.

I stayed for a period of 5 weeks for convalescence following a major operation. The room I had was a very good size with an adjustable bed, reclining chair, T.V. tea making facilities, and a modern en-suite with a wet room all of which was extremely comfortable. The staff were very attentive, courteous and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I had a very pleasant stay in wonderful, peaceful surroundings which certainly made me have a speedy recovery.

My husband came to Nowton Court Village after spending 5 weeks in hospital. I did not feel he was moving forward so i booked him into Nowton Court Village. I also stayed and because i had no worries about shopping, cooking, etc; i could help him improve. This is an ideal place to recuperate and have extra service i.e. washing done, rooms cleaned and choice of food. The views are beautiful as the building stands within Nowton Park and there is widlife to watch from every window. I would recommend Nowton Court Village for anyone requiring a peaceful place to recover and regain strength.

I booked in as a visitor in order to visit my wife in a nearby nursing home. The building was magnificent, the staff friendly and helpful and the room excellent and the food fine. I was called away prematurely, but would certainly visit again.

I would like to thank you all most sincerely for your care and expertise during my stay at Nowton Court for the last two weeks.
When i arrived i was in considerable pain, caused by a fall damaging my ribs. Movement was difficult and breathing was rather spasmodic.
From the beginning i was given a warm welcome by all the staff.
The concierges were all excellent. Special thanks to Matt who attended to small problems concerning lighting, heating and television reception. He was even able to fix my computer and ensured that my newspapers were delivered!.
The catering staff were all very good, producing healthy meals, beautifully presented.
The cleaning staff also helped in making my stay enjoyable.
I left yesterday, after two weeks, feeling refreshed and reasonably pain free. I was assured that if i needed to return, i would be welcome.

My mother was an elderly resident at Nowton Court during the last 5 years of her life. This provided her with the privacy she had been used to in her own home; yet always someone on hand to talk to her at anytime during night or day. She enjoyed her chauffeur driven trips into town; overseen by a caring Concierge. The staff were very responsive, supportive, kind and helpful.
My mother was a watercolour artist in Scotland, and she was able to continue with her enjoyment of this, using the wonderful Library area. She loved the peace and quiet of a comfortable corner, all to herself, in one of the many splendid Sitting Rooms. The surrounding park & gardens gave her much pleasure, as did keeping the bird table well supplied.
The home cooking was of a high stand and Chef catered for her individual needs. After her funeral, we held her celebration of life at Nowton Court, with excellent organisation from the management. It was so successful, that we hope to hold a private event there.

The care here is excellent and i cannot fault anything. They even called the paramedics when my leg started bleeding and i had excellent attention. Nowton Court is an impressive and welcoming facility, in beautiful grounds. It can feel like a hotel, with many beautiful public rooms, especially the bright and airy dining room.

I am nearly at the end of my third stay at Nowton Court, since early 2019. Following a fall, in which i sustained pulled muscles, etc. in a thigh which i fractured last year, as well as a fractured wrist, i needed a period of recuperation.
Once again, i enjoyed a most beneficial stay, with the opportunity to have a complete rest being of great benefit to my legs recovery. Despite the extra restrictions imposed by the Covid pandemic (Staff face masks; no visitors, etc.) the staff were most caring and solicitous, the accommodation very comfortable ; the meals varied and plentiful; and the overall standards have been maintained at a very high level.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Nowton Court to anyone who asks me.

Before she moved in the manager asked about her likes, dislikes and her past, so they knew something about her when she arrived. The rooms, both the public rooms and the bedrooms are beautifully decorated in the style of an elegant country house.
The care package offered to residents needing additional care is very satisfactory and the carers are kind.
My mother enjoys the company she has there, that of the residents and the staff. The meals are clearly good from reports i receive.
Despite the limitations imposed by the Covid pandemic, i feel sure every effort is made too offer stimulating activities including accompanied walks around the extensive grounds.
Visiting arrangements made in Covid times are good and worthwhile. In short, my mother has a good quality of life at Nowton Court.
