A beautiful 19th century manor house located in the grounds of Nowton Park in Bury St Edmunds.
Nowton Court is truly unique. Our passion is to ensure that our mature residents remain as independent as possible – enjoying their day-to-day lives in a safe and secure environment without losing their freedom, identity and choice.
Support, assistance and care is available 24/7 to ensure that everyone is comfortable, safe and reassured. If/when you do need personal care on a regular or daily basis, you are free to select a care provider of your choice. Your care is then managed by yourself and your family – in a way that suits you – with us here to oversee everything.
Put simply, Nowton takes away the worry of doing daily chores so that residents can live, relax and enjoy – secure in the knowledge that help is at hand if needed.
I absolutely love my role here at Nowton. I honestly still can’t believe that I get to spend my working days in such a stunning place! In such a small an intimate home, residents become like family – we get to know them really well – and that’s such an important part of making their lives special. I get to watch people thrive and grow – and I feel privileged to be a part of that. Watching someone recover from an illness, injury or setback and regain their confidence is truly inspiring. A smile, a word of encouragement, or just a friendly, welcoming face makes such a massive difference.
I’ve been a busy working Mum since my children were tiny, and spent the formative years of my career working in the emergency services – which was challenging and very dynamic! I do, however, feel that I finally found my vocation when I moved into social care. It is, quite simply, the most rewarding thing I’ve done.
