Nowton Court Village

Supported Living

Our aim is for you to live as comfortably and independently as possible, for as long as possible, in a beautiful and peaceful setting – with our support.

We encourage people to continue doing whatever they can for themselves whenever they can – to ensure they continue to be able to do it! If you need help or assistance, we’re always on hand to help. Basically, we take away the worry of running your own home – so you don’t have to! You can just relax and enjoy – safe in the knowledge that someone will be with you quickly, whenever you need it.

Rooms range from £1000 to £1400 per week and include all of the following:

  • 24/7 on-site assistance an immediate support for your own, and your family’s peace of mind. This is provided by Nowton staff and our live-in carer.
  • Your room – we have 19 individual, comfortable, homely yet practical suites – all with en suite bathrooms and walk-in showers (wheelchair accessible). Each room is set up with a private telephone, TV, tea/coffee making facilities and individually controlled heating.
  • All meals – freshly prepared daily and served to your table in our stunning dining room. Breakfast is a continental buffet for you to serve yourself if you are able.
  • You can also help yourself to tea/coffee & snacks served daily.
  • Your room will be cleaned, your laundry provided and your personal items washed & ironed.
  • Companionship, activities & organised events.
  • Family & friends welcome any time – including subsidised rates for food and overnight stays.
  • We will assist with booking appointments, responding to mail, contacting GPs/hospitals/pharmacies, arranging the community nursing team and organising transport. (Hair and chiropody appointments are charged separately but can be arranged upon request).

For regular/anticipated daily personal care requirements, we work with both Christie’s Care and Trinity Home Care. You can, of course, continue to use your existing care provider (if you have one). If not, we are more than happy to arrange an assessment for you. This is a private arrangement between the customer and the care company and can be organised/adapted in a way that suits you.

It’s important to us that your room feels as homely as possible. Although our rooms are all fully furnished, you are more than welcome to bring in your own furniture & belongings to make it feel like home. We have a combination of single and double rooms depending on your preference.

Communal Areas are for use by everyone. If you’re feeling sociable, you may enjoy a chat, reading a book from the library, or just a cuppa with some company. An afternoon snooze is very popular – followed by a game of Scrabble! The choice is entirely yours!
